Loons Get One-Run Win at Lake Murray
The Minnesota Loons defeated the Lake Murray MotorBoaters, 2-1, in USSL Double A action at Heron Field. Minnesota pitcher Daniel Shields had a standout performance. In 5.2 innings, Shields surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 2. He allowed no runs. The loss drops Lake Murray to 0-2.

Pat Morgan had a critical at-bat with one out in the top of the sixth for Minnesota. He came through with a solo home run to put Minnesota in front, 2-0.
