Starks left fielder Justin Armstrong put his stamp on his team's 8-1 win over the Jersey City Tritons. Armstrong was 2 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 times and drove in 3 for Syracuse in the contest. The Starks saw their record improve to 26-27.

With Syracuse leading 3-1 in the top of the fifth, Armstrong batted against Jersey City pitcher Stanton Maxwell. Armstrong hit a cutter to center for a 3-run home run. His 7th home run of the season put the Starks on top, 6-1.

"We were able to put some runs on the board," said Armstrong after the game.
