The Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys earned a close win over the Montreal Machine, thanks in part to Pete Scott. The Syracuse right-hander, who is tied for 3rd in the PAAA in complete games with 1, played a key role in the 2-1 victory. James Tucker collected save number 4. Scott, who dominated for Syracuse, earned the victory to move to 3-5. He was in control the whole game, scattering 3 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 5. Montreal batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
