Brass Pick Up 2-1 Win Over Ellenburg
|
Baton Rouge pitcher Kevin Webb had a large part in his team beating the Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds, 2-1. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. In 6 innings, Webb surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. Michael Wilson got the save, the 1st for him this season.
Logan Rice had a direct impact on the outcome. Rice contributed a solo home run in the top of the second inning to put Baton Rouge up, 2-0.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Webb said.
The Brass now have a record of 28-30.
