In a high-scoring contest between Montreal and Syracuse, left fielder Nick O'Bryan was a difference-maker. O'Bryan, who is tied for 5th in the PAAA in runs scored with 37, distinguished himself in the 9-8 Montreal win. He was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 4 runs and driving in 4. Gary Smith picked up the win in relief. Huibert Illidge took the loss for Syracuse. With the win over Syracuse, the Machine improved to 26-34.

John Barlow was the walk-off hero for Montreal. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Machine second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
