Tritons Rally to Nose Past Ellenburg
|
Getting offensive support from Eric Sullivan, the Jersey City Tritons topped the Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds, 4-3. Sullivan went 3 for 3 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Tritons. The win belonged to Steffen Benton in relief. His record improves to 4-2. Greg Rivera took the loss for Ellenburg. Samuel Morris was called on to finish, recording his 1st save.
Sullivan had an important at-bat with the bases empty in the bottom of the seventh, when he hit a solo home run. The Tritons went on to win.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Sullivan.
Jersey City, with the win, is 21-41.
