The home crowd had a good time watching the Northville Eclipse and Asheville Highlanders get after it.

Asheville turned a good effort from starter Scott Hall into a win over the Northville Eclipse at Asheville Park. The Highlanders won the game, 5-1. Hall yielded 1 run over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 0, and struck out 7. His record improves to 1-0.

Kenny Peterson had a big bases-clearing triple for the Highlanders in the bottom of the second inning. With Asheville leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a changeup from 25-year old right-handed pitcher Manuel Suárez and swatted a triple to right-center. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Highlanders ahead, 4-0.

"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Peterson.
