The Baton Rouge Brass beat the Kansas Rainbeaus, 6-5 -- though it took them 10 innings. Baton Rouge right fielder Tom Windus had a pretty good game. He went 2-5 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The 8th-place Brass bumped their record to 30-33.

The Brass got a clutch hit from shortstop Johnathan Erickson. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to center, to win the game for the Brass.

"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said Kansas manager Guillaume Colin. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."
