In 11, Jersey City Sinks Bakersfield, 4-2
|
The Bakersfield Nobles could not turn a fine performance from pitcher David Sullivan into a win. Instead, the Jersey City Tritons prevailed, 4-2. Sullivan threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball. Jersey City, with the win, climbs to 22-42.
Jersey City used the timely hitting of Jarrod Harris to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Tritons on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Harris.
