Redlegs Suffer 6-0 Loss to Squirrel Monkeys

The Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys got a good effort from starter Cody Beasley in defeating the Sacramento Redlegs at Sacramento Sanitation Station. The final score was 6-0. The winner was Beasley. He threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Yoshitaka Shinohara. The Squirrel Monkeys, now 35-30, have won 4 in a row.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Sidney Ames? The Syracuse right fielder had a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put the Squirrel Monkeys on top, 1-0. For the game, Ames had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
