Syracuse registered a win at The Zoo in Syracuse by beating the Syracuse Starks, 4-3. Pitcher Cody Beasley was one reason why the Squirrel Monkeys triumphed. With the win, Syracuse goes to 38-32, while the Starks fall to 37-33.

Diego Guzmán broke a 2-2 tie in the bottom of the fifth with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It put the Squirrel Monkeys in front, 3-2. For the game, Guzmán drove in one run.

"Cody -- his tempo and rhythm were good," said Squirrel Monkeys manager Ramón Barrueco. "He was the key to us winning."
