Pitching was the name of the game in a tight contest between the Barton Springs Blues and the Minnesota Loons. Barton Springs won it, 2-1. Barton Springs starter Dan Gibbs was in command. Tom Butler nailed down the save. With the win, Barton Springs lifts its record to 7-11.

The Blues got a big hit from third baseman Walton L'Ouverture. Facing Minnesota pitcher Conner Dixon in the bottom of the fifth, L'Ouverture pounded a run-scoring double to left. His 4th double of the season put the Blues ahead, 2-0.

"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said L'Ouverture.
