The Philadelphia Liberty Academy defeated the Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas, 5-3, in USSL Double A action at Liberty Academy Field. Philadelphia pitcher Don Swift had a standout performance. Juan Zapata nailed down his 8th save. No one expected much of this team, but the hot start by Philadelphia might have some re-evaluating their pre-season predictions. This latest win lifts their record to 12-7.

Philadelphia took a 5-3 lead on António García's 5th double of the season. The 2-run double, which García hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Chesapeake pitcher Doug Holland visibly frustrated.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Swift.
