Loons Win with Late Heroics
The Minnesota Loons did just enough to nip the Billings Polar Bears, 2-1, in 12 innings. Minnesota pitcher Billy Warren, in particular, had a standout performance. With the win, Minnesota goes to 10-10.

Up to bat in the bottom of the 12th, 21-year old second baseman Joe Parker had a chance to be the hero. Billings pitcher Aukthya Shalabh wanted to foil that plan. But with one out, Parker hit a sacrifice fly. The Loons had themselves a thrilling win.

"Coming in, from the get-go, I knew my stuff was good," said Warren.
