Liberty Academy Need Extra Innings to Top Polar Bears, 11-5
The Philadelphia Liberty Academy and Billings Polar Bears put on quite a show.

The Billings Polar Bears could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Carlos Ramos into a win. Instead, the Philadelphia Liberty Academy prevailed, 11-5. Ramos threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball. Philadelphia reliever Jacob Harrell snagged the win, upping his record to 2-0. Sean Brown shouldered the loss.

Philadelphia used the clutch hitting of Vicente González to capture the win. The right fielder drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to give the Liberty Academy the lead, 4-3. For the game, González had 1 single and 1 double in 2 at-bats.

"Sometimes winning takes more than 27 outs," said Liberty Academy manager Clarence Miller.

After today's action, Philadelphia sits at 14-8; Billings slips to 8-14.
