The Barton Springs Blues knocked off the Lake Murray MotorBoaters, 4-3, in USSL Double A action at Blues Field. Barton Springs pitcher and Terre Haute, Indiana, native Dan Gibbs had an outstanding performance. Barton Springs reliever Tom Butler picked up the win, raising his record to 2-0. Sean Gibson was tagged with the loss. Barton Springs is 10-12 and Lake Murray, with the loss, 15-7.

The Blues got a clutch hit from catcher Chad Clayton. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Blues.

"Tough ballgame, tough loss," said Lake Murray manager David Buchanan.
