Behind a solid performance from right fielder Shan-tang Zhou, the Squirrel Hill Pierogis defeated the Minnesota Loons, 11-3. Zhou went 2 for 5 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 4 for the Pierogis. Jed Knight earned save number 1 this season. Squirrel Hill is now 11-13, Minnesota 12-12.

Zhou made an early impact for Squirrel Hill when he stroked his 4th home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which came in the bottom of the second, put the Pierogis on top, 9-0.

"It was great to come out and swing the bats," Zhou told the Squirrel Hill Times.
