The Squirrel Hill Pierogis got a stellar effort from pitcher Sean Jones, helping Squirrel Hill score a win over the visiting Barton Springs Blues, 2-1. With the win, Squirrel Hill goes to 13-13, while the Blues fall to 11-15.
The Pierogis got a clutch hit from right fielder José Hernández. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Pierogis.
Jones attributed the win to his team's "grittiness."
