Humphrey Now 3-0 After Subduing Liberty Academy
Martin Humphrey, who is tied for 8th in the SAA with a 1.00 WHIP, never let the Liberty Academy get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the MotorBoaters to a win, 3-0. The win lifted the Lake Murray record to 22-12.

Humphrey, who dominated for Lake Murray, earned the victory to move to 3-0. He was in control the whole game, scattering 3 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 4. Philadelphia batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.

"We made a couple of mistakes," said Philadelphia skipper Clarence Miller, "and it cost us."
