Blues Need Extra Innings to Top Polar Bears, 5-3

The Barton Springs Blues beat the Billings Polar Bears, 5-3, at The Igloo. Barton Springs designated hitter Chad Clayton had an outstanding performance. He went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. William Richmond sewed up the save, his 1st. The Blues raised their record to 17-19.
Barton Springs took advantage of an error in the top of the tenth inning. The game was tied, 3-3, when Chris Wolfe hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put the Blues in front, 4-3.
"Baseball is such a beautiful game," said Wolfe. "Anything can happen on any night, and that's why you don't dwell on what happened yesterday. Just look forward and trust you're going to have positive results."
