MotorBoaters Overcome Great Performance by Murakami in Win
The Lake Murray MotorBoaters besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Billings right fielder Yataro Murakami by beating the Polar Bears, 10-8, at The Igloo. Murakami went 2 for 5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice. Lake Murray reliever Fernando Escalante picked up the win, raising his record to 1-0. James Potts was tagged with the loss. Leonard Sheppard got credit for the save for Lake Murray. It was his 5th of the year.

Lake Murray second baseman Ryan White helped the MotorBoaters go up, 9-8, in the top of the sixth inning. With the game tied, White hit a run-scoring single off Billings pitcher Fernando Ortega.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said White.

The 8th-place MotorBoaters have won 4 in a row.
