The Philadelphia Liberty Academy got a superb performance from pitcher Chad May. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Minnesota. The Loons won the game, 2-1. May threw 8.1 innings of 6-hit ball. Minnesota is now 25-22.
Jon Booker had a direct impact on the outcome. Booker contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the tenth inning to put Minnesota up, 2-1.
In postgame remarks, Booker said: "I'm proud of our guys, of their fight."
