The Billings Polar Bears defeated the Philadelphia Liberty Academy, 4-3, in USSL Double A action at Liberty Academy Field. Billings pitcher Len Horton had a standout performance. The save went to Aukthya Shalabh, his 13th this season. Billings has now won 4 straight.

Ramil Laygo came through with a big-time hit for Billings. The shortstop smacked a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 4-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

Laygo attributed the win to his team's "steely resolve."
