Liberty Academy Win Thriller, 9-8
Philadelphia right fielder Jesse Miller was instrumental in helping the Liberty Academy triumph, 9-8, over the Billings Polar Bears. Miller went 3 for 5 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The winner was Philadelphia reliever Tanzan Jouda, now 3-2. The loser was Aukthya Shalabh. Philadelphia, now 24-27, holds down 8th place in the Silver AA.

In the bottom of the ninth, with two out and the game tied, 8-8, 27-year old shortstop Andre Cowan won it for Philadelphia. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, Cowan hit a first pitch changeup from Aukthya Shalabh for a run-scoring single, giving his team the 9-8 win.

"You can't hate how you win if you win," said Philadelphia skipper Clarence Miller.
