Barton Springs Blues left-hander Bill Grant pitched a good game against the Ithaca Fighting Imps at Imps Park, leading his team to victory, 4-3. Grant, now 1-2, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 10, walking 2, and allowing 3 runs. Ed Hull recorded the save for Barton Springs, his 1st of the season.

The Blues took advantage of an error in the top of the fifth inning. Barton Springs was leading 2-0 when Eric Martin hit a 2-run single that was misplayed. It put the Blues in front, 4-0.

"I went after the hitters," said Grant. "No pussyfooting around."

With the win, Barton Springs goes to 18-33, while the Fighting Imps fall to 25-26.
