Pierogis Pull Out Late-Game Win, 5-4
The Squirrel Hill Pierogis did just enough to secure a victory over the Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas, 5-4, in 11 innings at Field of the Rawhides. Nobody did more than pitcher Sean Jones. With the win, the Pierogis have a record of 23-31.

The Pierogis relied on designated hitter Peter Sanders for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the 11th, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.

"Big win," said Sanders.
