Loons Squelch Pierogis Offense in Shutout Win
|
Conner Dixon, who is tied for 8th in the SAA in complete games with 1, was terrific for the Minnesota Loons in his team's 3-0 triumph over the Squirrel Hill Pierogis. His performance earned Dixon rave reviews. The Loons win now puts them at 33-31.
Minnesota catcher Mark Miller delivered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the second. Overall, he went 3 for 4, picking up 1 home run, 1 single, and 1 double. He scored 1 run and knocked in 3.
Miller called the win "a team effort."
