The Minnesota Loons beat the Arizona Javelina, 6-0. Minnesota pitcher and Heredia, Costa Rica, native António Vélez led the way. The Javelina, now 26-41, have lost 5 straight.

Minnesota won the game in part because of Cy Curry. The shortstop ripped a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Loons ahead, 4-0. For the game, Curry had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
