The Philadelphia Liberty Academy beat the St. Petersburg Thunder, 11-2, at Baby Thunder Dome. Philadelphia second baseman Eric Brown had an outstanding performance. He went 2-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Philadelphia pitcher Roberto Cerda got the win, upping his record to 7-2. Hal Gaines got the loss. At 36-32, the Liberty Academy claim 4th place in the Silver AA.

With Philadelphia leading 1-0 in the top of the second, Brown hit a fastball from Hal Gaines for a 2-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Liberty Academy ahead, 3-0.

"Not much went right for us," St. Petersburg manager Alejandro Mingo said, when asked afterward about the game.
