Blues Get One-Run Win at Lake Murray
The Barton Springs Blues defeated the Lake Murray MotorBoaters, 4-3, in USSL Double A action at Heron Field. Barton Springs pitcher William Richmond had a standout performance. Richmond got the win, improving to 4-11. He gave up 9 hits and walked 0 over 8 innings. He allowed 3 runs. Barton Springs, now 37-58, holds down last place in the Silver AA.

Barton Springs used a well-timed hit by Eric Martin to capture the win. The pinch hitter socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Blues ahead, 4-2. Though it was his only hit in 1 at-bat, it was important.

"We made a couple of mistakes," said Lake Murray skipper David Buchanan, "and it cost us."
