Beavers Take Home 3-1 Win Over Fort Knox
|
Fans of the Northwest Territory Beavers who packed the stands for the home opener were rewarded with a Northwest Territory win over the visiting Fort Knox Centennial, 3-1. Donald Mickey started for the home team against Carlos Luna. Carlos Luna earned accolades for his performance. Northwest Territory reliever Hoalohanani Enakai picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Carlos Luna was saddled with the loss. Héctor Silva sewed up the save, his 1st.
Gabriel Bustamante had a timely hit in the bottom of the sixth inning. With two out and the bases loaded, the Northwest Territory left fielder hit a 2-run single. That put the Beavers in front, 3-1.
Northwest Territory manager Robert Acker called it "a pretty good win."
