Cajuns Pitching Ravaged by Vargas

Claudio Vargas got the glory and the headlines, but the Crowley Cajuns left with the win. The Hudsonville third baseman easily handled the Cajuns pitching, going 5-for-5, but his Hudsonville Flanderses came out on the short end of the 5-2 score.
Vargas told BNN reporters in the postgame interview he would happily trade "three or four" of his hits for a win.
"Heck, maybe even all of them," he said with a laugh. "Right now, it just seems like one loss in a long season but who knows what it could mean at the end."

Currently Vargas is hitting .331 and has collected 13 home runs, 41 RBIs and scored 49 times, while playing in 60 games.
