June's Best PA- Hurler is Chapman Sunday, July 1st , 2063 There was little doubt around the USPL Low A that Gil Chapman would be awarded Pitcher of the Month honors for June. Today, they made it official, naming the 20-year-old Philadelphia Liberty U-21 starter the latest honoree. He thoroughly dominated the hitters who stood in against him, holding them to a .180 batting average while fashioning a 1.15 ERA in 5 starts. His record for the month was 4-1 in 39 innings of work. Checking out his stats for the year, Chapman has racked up 4 wins and 4 losses in 10 starts, posted a 3.12 ERA, and struck out 41 batters in 66.1 innings. |
