Uruguayans Topple Rhinos, 4-3

Fans witnessed a whale of a game between the Germantown Uruguayans and Redwood Rhinos.
Germantown picked up a win at The Zoo, bumping off the Redwood Rhinos, 4-3. Pitcher Boyd Holohan was a major reason the Uruguayans emerged victorious. Holohan, now 1-1, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 10 hits, while striking out 5, walking 1, and allowing 3 runs. Dan Sawyer nailed down his 2nd save.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Rafael Chávez? The 19-year old shortstop Chávez stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put Germantown up, 4-3. For the game, he was 3 for 5, including 1 double and 2 singles.
"It's so much easier when you throw good pitches," said Holohan.
The Uruguayans raised their record to 3-3.
