Taylor Excels, But Beavers Win
The Northwest Territory Beavers had to overcome a big game from Tulsa shortstop Marc Taylor to leave Ballpark of Hughesville with a victory. And they did, winning, 10-5. Taylor belted 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. Northwest Territory is now 19-6, 4½ games up in the Premier Low A.

The Beavers got a big hit from second baseman Ramón Yan. Facing Tulsa pitcher Tomoyuki Sasaki in the top of the eighth, Yan pounded a grand slam home run to left. His 3rd home run of the season put the Beavers ahead, 10-2.

"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Yan, "one at-bat at a time."
