The Crowley Cajuns downed the Fort Knox Centennial, 6-3. The hitting star was right fielder Manuel Noguerola. Noguerola was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the Cajuns. Oscar Cox earned the save for Crowley, his 1st. Crowley bumps their record to 16-14 with the win.
Crowley used a timely hit from Quinn Phillips to get the win. The third baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Cajuns ahead, 5-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a difference-maker.
"We've got guys willing to do what it takes to win," Noguerola told the Crowley Daily News.
