Kingfishers Drop Lakers, 4-2

Pittsburgh registered a win at Pittsburgh Grounds by beating the Echo Park Lakers, 4-2. Pitcher Xavier Martínez was one reason why the Kingfishers triumphed. The win went to Cipriano Flores in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Warner Alder took the loss. The Kingfishers move to 12-14 with the win, while the Lakers drop to 15-11.
The decisive blow was delivered by Maikel de Braber in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a 2-run home run off 26-year old right-handed pitcher Warner Alder to win the game for Pittsburgh. The home crowd went nuts.
"This place went bonkers at the end," de Braber said.
