The Plattsburgh Puffer Fish picked up a win at Hound Pound, dropping the Hicksville Hounds, 7-3. George Hill, who is tied for 2nd in the PA- with a 9.2 K/9 rate, was the difference-maker. The win makes Plattsburgh 16-20.

There were several reasons the Puffer Fish beat the Hounds, but one factor was Nick Mason. In the top of the third, the Plattsburgh third baseman came to bat and hit a 2-run single. It staked his team to a 2-0 lead.

"George -- his tempo and rhythm were good," said Puffer Fish manager Mike Carlisle. "He was the key to us winning."
