Crowley took on Tulsa in a contest which featured a pitchers' duel. Jesse Blanton, in particular, was fantastic. The Crowley left-hander helped his team snag the win, 2-1. With the win, Crowley raised its record to 20-17.

Phil Martin had a direct impact on the outcome. Martin contributed a solo home run in the top of the fifth inning to put Crowley up, 2-0.

"When Jesse is on, he can really move the ball around," said Crowley manager Bill Wallace.
