The Redwood Rhinos got a scintillating performance from pitcher Pedro Corona, who shut out the Beaumont Crossbeaus, 4-0. The Rhinos win now puts them at 24-14.

Redwood got a knockout punch from Orlando González. The pinch hitter hammered a grand slam home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"Pedro did what Pedro does," said Redwood manager Joe Goff.
