Fans witnessed a whale of a game between the Tulsa Otters and Hudsonville Flanderses.

The Tulsa Otters picked up a win at Ballpark of Hughesville, knocking off the Hudsonville Flanderses, 3-2. Starting pitcher Boudewijn Vervoort played a key role in the triumph. The winner was Vervoort. He threw 7.1 innings allowing 2 runs. The loser was Fa-tang Xiong.

Tulsa went up, 3-2, on Larry McGuire's 2nd home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which McGuire hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Hudsonville pitcher Fa-tang Xiong shaking his head.

"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Vervoort said.

The Otters now have a record of 14-27.
