Cajuns Fall to Uruguayans, 6-2
|
Germantown Uruguayans starter Dan Sawyer turned in a top-notch performance against the Crowley Cajuns at Ballpark of Albuquerque. The result was a win for the Uruguayans, 6-2. Sawyer, now 4-2, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 5, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs. Miguel Arroyo was called on to finish, recording his 1st save.
Dave Otto was vital to the Germantown win. He was 1 for 4. In the bottom of the fifth with two out, Otto hit a run-scoring single. It made the score 4-2, in favor of the Uruguayans.
"I still think this team can play even better," Otto told the Germantown Herald.
The Uruguayans are now 26-18, while the Cajuns fall to 26-18.
