Tulsa Rallies to 3-1 Win
|
Plattsburgh got a decent performance from pitcher Ruud Asmus, but it wasn't enough to beat the Tulsa Otters. Tulsa won the Plattsburgh Park contest, 3-1. Asmus threw 9.0 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. The winner in relief was Ramón Escobar. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. He now owns a record of 3-3. The win makes Tulsa 18-32.
Tulsa used a clutch hit from Larry McGuire to get the win. The pinch hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Otters ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a doozy.
"Can't say enough about our pitching," said McGuire.
