The Plattsburgh Puffer Fish picked up a win at Ballpark of Baxter, knocking off the Fort Knox Centennial, 13-3. On the mound for Plattsburgh was right-hander Román Bravo. He played a key role in the triumph. The Puffer Fish improved to 27-24.

Plattsburgh won the game in part because of Maija Meikäläinen. The shortstop ripped a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Puffer Fish ahead, 13-3. For the game, Meikäläinen had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.

"It's always a heck of a lot easier to get to sleep after a win," Bravo told the Plattsburgh Daily News. "I know I'll rest easy tonight."
