The Germantown Uruguayans picked up a win at Ballpark of Albuquerque, taking down the Crowley Cajuns, 6-3. Starting pitcher Valentín Buitrugo was a big reason why. Hunter Holman finished the game for Germantown and earned his 5th save. Germantown, at 27-27, occupies 7th place in the Premier Low A.

The Uruguayans got a big hit from left fielder Jesse Daugherty. Facing Crowley pitcher Stu Spiker in the bottom of the sixth, Daugherty pounded a bases-clearing triple to left-center. His 1st triple of the season put the Uruguayans ahead, 5-2.

"Valentín had good stuff. When he did get into a compromising count, he made the most of it," said Germantown manager Jamie Scott.
