The Fort Knox Centennial clobbered the Northwest Territory Beavers, 11-2, at Ballpark of Baxter. Leading the onslaught was Ricardo López. He was 2-5 with a home run, while adding 6 RBI and scoring once for Fort Knox. Northwest Territory has now lost 5 straight.
With Fort Knox leading 3-2 in the bottom of the second, López hit a 2-run single off Northwest Territory hurler Allen Owen. It was the 72nd hit of the season for López and put his team ahead, 5-2.
"Not much to say," Northwest Territory manager Robert Acker said, when asked afterward about the defeat.
