White Walkers Clip Cattlemen, 4-3
|
Buffalo right fielder Claudio Muñóz picked up 4 ribbies while helping his team beat back the Ft. Worth Cattlemen, 4-3. Jerome Field notched the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. His record now sits at 2-1. The win puts the White Walkers at 16-13, while the Cattlemen drop to 11-18.
The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Buffalo trailing 3-1, Muñóz jumped on a circle change from 27-year old left-handed pitcher John Allen and hit a 3-run home run to center. With one swing, the White Walkers had a walk-off win.
"We couldn't have scripted it any better," Muñóz said in his postgame press conference.
