The Germantown Uruguayans could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Maxence Pillet into a win. Instead, the Hudsonville Flanderses prevailed, 4-3, in 11 innings. Pillet threw 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball. Hudsonville reliever Cristóbal González got the win, raising his record to 3-0. Carlos Tejeda was tagged with the loss. The first-place Flanderses now have a win-loss record of 41-25.

Up to bat in the bottom of the 11th, 20-year old second baseman Eric Thomas had a chance to be the hero. Germantown pitcher Carlos Tejeda had other ideas. But with one out, Thomas hit a sacrifice fly. The Flanderses had themselves a dramatic win.

"It's a satisfying feeling, to win like we did," said Thomas.
