Beaumont Grabs 4-3 Road Win

The Beaumont Crossbeaus defeated the Hudsonville Flanderses, 4-3, in USPL Low A action at Hudsonville Park. Beaumont pitcher Brennan Riggs had a standout performance. Carlos Herrera earned the save for Beaumont, his 5th. The Crossbeaus saw their win-loss record go to 29-37. At the same time, the Flanderses fell to 37-29.
Beaumont used the clutch hitting of Tom Hill to capture the win. The center fielder drilled a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to give the Crossbeaus the lead, 4-0. For the game, Hill had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.
"Brennan pitched like a son-of-a-gun," said Beaumont manager José Ortega.
