The Panama City Piranhas topped the Las Vegas Flamingos, 4-1, in United States Silver League action at The Tank. The standout performance belonged to Panama City pitcher and Itasca, Illinois, native Jack Faircloth. Faircloth yielded no runs over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 0, and struck out 5. His record improves to 4-2. With the win over Las Vegas, the Piranhas improved to 20-11.

The Flamingos had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Piranhas going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 25-year old third baseman Mark Harris came to the plate. Harris hit a 2-run double on a 1-2 splitter from Las Vegas hurler Júlio Mora. It was Harris's 6th double of the year.
